The Computer of 2004
Caption: "Scientists from the RAND Corporation have created this model to illustrate how a "home computer" could look like in the year 2004. However the needed technology will not be economically feasible for the average home. Also the scientists readily admit that the computer will require not yet invended technology to actually work, but 50 years from now scientific progress is expected to solve these problems. With teletype interface and the Fortran language, the computer will be easy to use."

This ones a fake, the controls are from a Engineering control room of a Navy ship and the television is just hanging in space.
Is it really? I've seen this posted in multiple places as having come from Popular Science or Popular Electronics (I forget which) from the mid 50's. I've never seen anything debunking it as fake. Do you have a reference?
Thorough debunking here...
